SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Wilbur (Boone) W. Morrison

Formerly of Tower Hill

Sun City, Az. - Wilbur (Boone) W. Morrison 92, of Sun City, Arizona, formerly of Tower Hill, Illinois passed away on Thursday January 17, 2013.  Services and burial will be at a later date at the Tower Hill Cemetery in Tower Hill, IL.

Boone was born on December 4th, 1920 to Harry E. and Elizabeth C. (Gatons) Morrison in Cold Spring Township, IL.  He married Helen T. Williams on July 13, 1947 in Tower Hill, IL. She preceded him in death on June 27th, 2010.  

He served as an Army Medic and Ambulance driver in Europe during WW II, returned to farming after the war, married, and later moved to Lake Zurich IL. where he spent the next 25 years in the construction industry.

Retiring back to Central Illinois, he tended to his family, friends, pets and garden with love and devotion. Quick with a smile or joke he touched us all with his never wavering sense of humor and his belief in trying to see the good in everyone.

Surviving are his, daughters Linda (George) Rusanov of Sun City, AZ; and Dorlene (Randall) Hahn of Champaign, IL; two grandchildren, Stephen Rusanov of Chicago, IL; and Cassandra Hahn of Champaign, IL. As well as many cherished family members and dear friends including Don and Barb Selby of Tower Hill.

Memorial contributions can be made to The Humane Society of the United States, a local animal shelter, The Salvation Army, or a charity of the donor's choice.
