Senior Spotlight: Casey Wheeler

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — By: Dakota Pruemer

One of this week's spotlighted seniors is Casey Wheeler, daughter of Wes and Cheryl Wheeler. She also has a brother Cody, age 14, and sister Caylee, 11. Casey is in numerous school activities including Cheerleading, Volleyball, Track, Mathletes, National Honor Society, WYSE team, and Student Council. After her time at SHS Casey plans on attending EIU and either majoring in accounting or management information systems.

Outside of school her busy work ethic is the same by being a part of Relay for Life and the Tower Hill Christian Church. In the free time that Casey has she enjoys riding 4-wheelers, going to the movies, and playing Words with Friends, which is an online Scrabble type game that you play against friends on you phones or I-pods. When it comes to music she is not very picky but prefers Country, and her Dad's band, Battle Creek Country. Casey's favorite movies are Dirty Dancing and Black Beauty and her favorite TV show is How I Met Your Mother.

Casey has a few obsessions including her favorite TV show, How I Met Your Mother, horses, spaghetti, and of course, Maggie Bosgraff. Her dream vacation is Australia because it is very scenic and she loves kangaroos and the Australian accent. Casey is an important part of the school and the community and will be missed by many when she leaves SHS.
