On August 23 at about 9:15 p.m. Jennifer D. Reedy, 10-1-74, of Shelbyville, was southbound on 1800E approximately 1/2 south of 900N and struck a deer with her ‘00 Chevrolet Coupe. She then went off the road to the east and went through some corn. No injuries were reported.

On August 24 at 7:50 a.m. Brianna L.E. Baker, 6-27-90, of Mode was eastbound on 300N approximately 3/10 mile west of 2500N and was distracted by something inside her vehicle. She lost control and crossed the roadway and went into the north ditch and overturned in her ‘91 Toyota. No injuries were reported.

On August 26 at 10:40 p.m. Lennie R. Bales, 10-19-84, of Shelbyville was southbound on 1900E at 1225N in a ‘93 Mercury Topaz and lost control in a curve. She went off road to the west and struck a tree. She and her passenger Daniel L. Perry, 7-26-84, were transported to Shelby Memorial Hospital for injuries. She was ticketed for too fast for conditions and no insurance.

On August 26 at 7 p.m., Kyle V. Williams, 9-25-89, of Herrick was westbound on 1600N at 1450E in a ‘95 Chevrolet Beretta and lost control on loose rock. He went off the road to the south and struck a tree. He was transported to Shelby Memorial Hospital for injuries and ticketed for too fast for conditions.

On August 26 at 6:30 p.m. Kevin R. Cutler, 11-24-65, of Lakewood was stopped at 750N, waiting to turn south onto Route 128 in an ‘04 Toyota pickup. Margie J. Cardeso, 9-18-50, of Newton came up from behind and was distracted by her dog inside the vehicle and failed to stop before striking Cutler’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.

On August 27 at 9:45 a.m., Kimberly A. Nohren, 7-2-89, of Herrick lost control on a curve due to wet road. She went into the left ditch and struck a utility pole with her ‘97 Ford pickup on 00N at 1450E. She was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital by Shelby Ambulance.

On August 27 at 12:52 a.m. April N. Tackett, 4-8-89, of Brownstown was stopped at 200E at 400N for improper lane usage and arrested for DUI. Deserae Cravens, 12-7-88, Levi J. Ginger, 10-23-86, and Joshua R. Ginger, 11-29-87, all of Pana, was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol.
