Stew-Stras 8th 3rd At Home

 FGs 9. Team FTs 4.

Stew-Stras played Cumberland in the 3rd place game. Once again, Stew-Stras fell behind early, trailing 9-5. Once again, Stew-Stras had an answer in the 2nd, a 13-1 run. Stew-Stras was up by eight at the half, 18-10.

Cumberland reasserted themselves in the 2nd, but this time, Stew-Stras was equal to the task, only allowing Cumberland to cut the 8-point lead down to six heading into the 4th, 31-25.

It would come down to the 4th period again. Cumberland put up 13 points late. Again, Stew-Stras was equal to the task, putting up 16 points and actually extending their lead in crunch time for the 9-point victory.

Stew-Stras had three players in double figures. Kessler stepped up with 13 points and Kramer and Thies followed with 11 points, each. Thies struck two more times from the arc.

Cumberland was led by Magee. He led all scorers in their loss to St. Anthony with 16 points. Against Stew-Stras, He led all scorers with 17. But with no other players in double figures, Cumberland didn't have enough firepower to match Stew-Stras.

Stew-Stras scored 38 points from the field, enough to match Cumberland scoring from the field and the line. Stew-Stras' nine free throws were the margin of victory.
