Silver Spurs Holds Speed Buckle Show

The Silver Spurs 4-H Club held their Speed Buckle Show on July 21, 2013.

The show was originally scheduled for June 29th but the weather did not cooperate. There were 13 exhibitors in the 13 & Under age division, 6 in the 14-18 and 3 in the 19 & over.

The Speed Show consisted of 6 classes broken into 3 age divisions: 13 & Under, 14-18 and 19 & over. Classes included: Stop in the Box, Flags, Barrels, Poles, Plug Race and Keyhole.

High point sponsors for the speed show were as follows:

High Point – Speed:

13 & under - Dr. Lori Miser, Shelbyville

14-18 – Bill & Candy Pettry, Shelbyville

19 & over – Cheryl Pettyjohn, Shelbyville

Reserve High Point – Speed:

13 & under – Randy & Theresa Boehm Family, Windsor

14-18 – Matt Lewis, Shelbyville

19 & over – Dave Merriman Shoeing, Moweaqua

Winners received an engraved belt buckle and the reserve winners received an embroidered halter. The 14-18 Class had cousins Halle Shearer and Taylor Uphoff both riding Fiestas Arch Angel also known as Gus. Taylor was the High Point winner for the day and Halle was the reserve.

The 4-H Club would like to thank everyone who helped at the show and to all the sponsors that helped make the show possible.
