---- — Windsor/Stew-Stras couldn’t put Ramsey away for five and a half innings in the Central A&M Regional Wednesday. A 3-run rally in the bottom of the 6th remedied that and they won, 6-2.

Ramsey took a 1-run lead early and held it until the bottom of the 3rd, when W/SS put up two runs and claimed the lead for good. However, they couldn’t get much separation. W/SS added a run in the 4th for a 3-1 lead, but Ramsey answered in the 5th to make it a 1-run game again, 3-2.

W/SS went into the bottom of the 6th leading by just one, when they a 3-run rally got the cushion they needed, 6-2. Ramsey couldn’t gin up a comeback and was eliminated.

Windsor only got six hits, but they made them count. Allen led the W/SS hit crew, going 2-for-4 with a run. Christian Vonderheide was 1-for-2 and drove in two runs. Trey Leasher, Aaron White and Brandon Helmuth got hits and Gunner Theis and White had RBIs.

White (6-1) got the win going 5 1/3 innings, throwing a 3-hitter, walking three and striking out seven. Tyler Knisely led Ramsey like he has most of the season, going 1-for-3 with a run and throwing. He went 5 innings giving up five hits and two walks, while striking out four.

Windsor (22-5) plays the A&M Regional championship game on Saturday at 10 a.m.
