Shelby Ladies go 1-2 at Okaw

Shelbyville Lady Rams went to the Okaw Valley Holiday Tourney on Saturday after the near upset of St. T on Thursday. They continued on a roll by beating LSA in the first round, 64-52.

Madison Boone broke out with 23 points and 10 boards for a double-double. Lindsay Burton followed with 17 points. Olivia Williamson scored 11 for the third Ram in double figures. The Ram 37-24 run in the second half was the difference in crunch time.

After the opening win for the Rams, they had to face a tough OVC opponent in Sullivan. The Redskins proved to be too much, using a 22-7 run in the 2nd to establish an untouchable lead.

Burton scored 15 again with 11 boards for a double-double. Carson returned to double figures with 12 points and Courtney Schultz was back with it, scoring 10.

    Shelbyville boys and girls swept the Tuesday triangular track meet at Maroa. Shelby boys scored 100 points and the girls 98 points, defeating Maroa and Meridian.
