Shelby Ladies go 1-2 at Okaw

---- — Shelbyville Lady Rams went to the Okaw Valley Holiday Tourney on Saturday after the near upset of St. T on Thursday. They continued on a roll by beating LSA in the first round, 64-52.

Madison Boone broke out with 23 points and 10 boards for a double-double. Lindsay Burton followed with 17 points. Olivia Williamson scored 11 for the third Ram in double figures. The Ram 37-24 run in the second half was the difference in crunch time.

After the opening win for the Rams, they had to face a tough OVC opponent in Sullivan. The Redskins proved to be too much, using a 22-7 run in the 2nd to establish an untouchable lead.

Burton scored 15 again with 11 boards for a double-double. Carson returned to double figures with 12 points and Courtney Schultz was back with it, scoring 10.

After the Sunday off, Shelbyville didn’t show up for the consolation game against Heyworth, losing by almost 30 points.

Burton scored 15 points again, but was limited on the boards. Boone had 12 points, but again, just six boards. Carson wasn’t in the line-up and took some points away. Heyworth had three, almost four, in double figures. A 13-5 run in the 2nd sparked a separation, then a 22-9 run in the 4th period left Shelby in the dust.
