---- — The Daily Union Athletes of the Week include a pillar who has been steady for her team and two teammates that had career-high games.

Lindsay Burton, senior center for the Shelbyville Lady Ram basketball team, a Stew-Stras co-op player, has carried the Rams most of the season, win or lose. She did it again over the last week or so.

In the Okaw Valley Holiday Tourney, Burton scored 17 against LSA, 15 points against Sullivan with 11 boards, and 15 points against Heyworth. In a near conference upset just prior to the tourney, she scored 15 points against St. Teresa.

While Burton consistently scored around 15 points, two teammates had career-highs recently.

Madison Boone, a Shelbyville junior, scored a career-high 21 points and grabbed 22 rebounds in a win over Argenta earlier in the season with six steals.

She cleared that in a win against LSA in the holiday tourney, scoring 23 points. She scored 10 times from the field and snared 10 rebounds for another double-double. She also had three steals and two assists. Boone scored 15 of her 23 points in the 2nd half.

Autumn Carson (Stew-Stras co-op sophomore) activated on December 12, scored a career-high 15 points in her 1st game, then eclipsed that in the near upset of St. T by scoring 22 points. She scored 10 times from the field with 2-of-4 at the line. She scored 16 points in the 2nd half, nine in the 4th.
