SHELBYVILLE, IL. — The Lady Raiders (19-2, 8-0 Okaw) didn't pussyfoot around on Thursday when they went to Maroa. Not wanting to give the Trojans a foothold, the Raiders jumped on them early, before coasting down the stretch in the 64-51 victory.

The Raiders had an advantage at the foul line, inside the arc and outside at the arc. They also had an advantage on turnovers. The Raiders caused 25 Maroa turnovers and a bunch them produced points.

The piranha-like Raiders forced double-digit turnovers early and opened up a 25-7 lead. The cannibalization continued into the 2nd and the Raiders 18-point lead went to 22, before they slowed their roll. That gave  Maroa a chance to trim the lead down to 15 at the break, 33-18.

Maroa hoped to continue to cut into the deficit in the 3rd, but the Raiders took control again and pushed their lead back out to 20 points at the end of the 3rd, 48-28. Maroa needed a 20-0 run in the 4th just to force overtime. They scored 23 points, but couldn't stop A&M from scoring. The Raiders still put up 16 points late and cashed in their 19th win of the season.

Senior guard Allie Heaton led A&M with 20 points, connecting seven times from the floor, including a trey. She also was a perfect 5-of-5 at the stripe. She was active on the  boards with three rebounds, as well as running the point. She dished out two assists and picked three steals.

Shooter Taylor Jordan accounted for 17 points, scoring five times from the floor, including a trey hat trick. She was also perfect at the line, making 4-for-4.

Senior forward Sarah Bailey was a gamer again. She filled up the net with 11 points, five baskets and 1-of-1 at the line. She also grabbed four boards. Bailey also snatched three steals and dished out four assists.

Fincke led Maroa with 17 points, but was the only Trojan in double figures.

A&M had one more triple than Maroa. A&M was 12-of-15 (80%) at the line (Heaton, Jordan, and Bailey were 10-of-10), while Maroa was just  8-of-15 (45%).
