---- — Windsor/Stew-Stras won several games this year despite being out-hit. Not this game. W/SS pounded out 11 hits and Aaron White pitched one of the best games of his career, as W/SS shutout Edwards County in the Cumberland Sectional semi, 6-0.

White went all seven innings, allowing just four hits, walking no one, hitting one, and shutting out EC. He and the defense put EC down in order in three innings, never allowing more than one hit in each of the other four.

W/SS got on the board first in the 2nd. Justin Fulk, who went 3-for-4, singled. Trey Leasher singled and White hit the third straight single, driving in a run, good enough for the win, the way White would pitch. With one out, Brandon Helmuth singled and drove in another run, 2-0.

In the 6th, Alex Allen led off reaching on an error and Christian Vonderheide reached base. Gunner Thies smacked a double and drove in a run. Fulk and White walked and forced in another run, 4-0.

In the 7th, Allen and Vonderheide walked with one out. With two outs, Hayden Cole the DU Athlete of the Week, singled and made it 6-0.

Windsor/Stew-Stras plays at 11 a.m. on Saturday for the sectional title.
