Lady Rams Win Robinson, Boys 9th

Spain 1st, Mitchell 2nd, Skowronski 3rd

The Shelbyville Moulton Lady Ram cross country team went to the 9-team meet and beat the field. The Shelbyville boys placed 9th out of 10 teams.

Chloe Spain and Ailey Mitchell fnished 1st and 2nd overall. Spain ran a 12:40 and Mitchell a 12:47. The 3rd pace girls was six seconds back. Lauren Bowers (13:18) came across the finish just 31 seconds later in 6th place. Elizabeth Bowyer was 19th (13:54). The 5th scorer for Shelby was Paige Coleman in 22nd (14:00).

That gave the Rams just 50 points. Jasper County was a close 2nd with 53 points, packing all five of their scorers between 5th and 17th place.

On the boys side, Shelbyville's Ryan Skowronski finished as the overall runner-up. He clocked a 10:48, 20 seconds behind the standout Mattoon winner.

The other four Ram scorers were spread over 3:30. Joel Bleskey was 34th (12:33), Jordan Winings 76th (13:47), Christian Sieger 79th (13:51) and Logan Weatherford 88th (14:12).
