Okaw Wraps With WIn

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Okaw Valley volleyball (7-14) wrapped its regular season on Thursday with a dominating win over Villa Grove, 25-9, 25-7.

Senior setter Mollee Decesaro dished all 16 assists towards the 20 team kills in the Okaw win.

The top two recipients of these assists were Blair Monroe, who swung for a team-high six kills. Megan Dash recorded five kills.

The net duo also were leading defenders. Monroe rose for three blocks and Dash for two. That gave Monroe nine net points and Dash seven net points.

Shelby Dash and Amy Orris led the defense with five and four digs, respectively.

Okaw Valley (7-14) heads to the  Arcola 1A Regional on Monday. Okaw Valley (#4) plays Atwood-Hammond (#5) at 6 p.m. Okaw Valley and Atwood have split the season series. Okaw most recently beat Atwood on Tuesday night.
