CHBC Maroons Cougars At Dieterich

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — There was one seat left on the lifeboat leaving the Dieterich Holiday Tournament with a win. CHBC  stranded South Central on Saturday to take 7th place, 46-28.

CHBC knocked the Cougars up side the head out of the gate with a 15-5 run. They didn't miss a beat in the 2nd, although they let South Central off the mat. CHBC led by 13 at the break, 28-15.

They didn't let down again after the half and stung the Cougars with a 16-2 run in the 3rd. Up by 27 points as the fat lady sang, CHBC called off the dawgs and the Cougars were able to cut the final margin, but still lost by 22 points.

Summer Riley, Jensyn Morrison, and Skylar Morrison followed with eight, seven, and six points, respectively.

Sotuh central had an advantage at the line, making 8-of-15, while CHBC made just 4-of-6. It still wasn't enough.
