5 Area IESA AA Medals

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Shelby Area athletes brought home five state medals from the IESA Class AA State Track Meet on Saturday.

Shelbyville Moulton scored three state medals and Sullivan two. Ryan Skowronski earned two 8AA boys medals. He was 4th in the 800 (2:06.28) and was 6th in the 1600 run 4:43.77. Shayla Darnell earned one 8AA girls medal in the high jump, placing 5th (4-11).

Luke Bowman of Sullivan earned a state medal in the 8-2A boys high jump (5-10), while Natalie Drury of Sullivan earned the other state medal in the girls 7-2A meet, placing 5th in the high jump (4-9).

Shelbyville Moulton boys and Sullivan boys tied for 20th in the state at the IESA Class 8AA State Track Meet on Saturday, scoring eight points, each.

Shelby Moulton 8AA girls tied for 36th with four points, while Pana 8AA girls tied for 59th with one point. Sullivan 7AA girls tied for 44th with four points, while Pana 7AA girls tied for 63rd with one point.
