Raiders sweep home meet

---- — Central A&M track strutted their stuff at home on Monday and at Clinton on Tuesday.

Sprinter Jason Pokalsey, who placed 6th in the 200 (23.2) at the recent Top Times Meet, swept the sprints both at A&M and at Clinton. He won the 100 at home (10.79) and at Clinton (11.57). He won the 200 at home beating his top times performance (23.02) and at Clinton (23.8). He also won the quarter at home (:54.0) and at Clinton (53.77).

Zach Ballinger swept the hurdles at home. He won the 110 hurdles (17.34) and the 300 meter low hurdles (48.36).

CAM girls swept the four relays at home. Ryan Dooley swept the hurdles. She won the 100 hurdles (16.46) and the 300 hurdles (49.55). CAM girls swept the weights, as Mikah Maples won the discus (112-11 and Morgan Damery won the shot (36-0.75). Mikaela Cole won the quarter (1:09) and the pole vault (8-0).

Windsor’s female star Katie Hostetter won two events. The 6th place medal winner in the high jump (5-3) from State last year, won the high jump (5-0) and won the triple jump (29-6). On Tuesday, Hostetter won the high jump again (5-0) at a meet in Arcola.

At Clinton, the A&M girl sprinters were determined. Jorgi Sparrgrove, who qualified for the Top Times meet in the 60 meter dash, won the 100 dash (13.79) and the 200 dash (27.37). She was followed by teammate Ryan Dooley in in the 100, taking 3rd (13.98), and in the 200, taking 2nd (28.13).

They had a presence in the distance races. Mikaela Cole and Salena Sloan finished together in the 800 run. Cole was 2nd (2:39.51) and Sloan was 3rd (2:39.56). Sloan was 3rd in the mile (6:03.30), while Abbie Collins won the 3200 (15:27.33).

Two CAM relays placed 2nd and their 4x8 relay won. A&M shared kudos as they swept the hurdles. Dooley won the 100 hurdles (17.33), while Paige Seitz won the 300 hurdles (54.36) and Kaitlin Villanueva was 2nd (54.98).

CAM swept the weights again. Maples won the discus (118-7, followed by Damery (101-7), while Damery won the shot put (36-3) and Maples followed in 2nd (35-6). Cole placed in the pole vault again (7-6).
