---- — Troy Salazar of Shelbyville had been fighting a fuel issue all weekend long, but he kept his 2002 Race Tek Dragster flying, taking home the win and the Super Pro points lead on Sunday.
Salazar had been doing good all year, but was 11 points out of the Summit Racing Points Series lead with two races to go before the NHRA Division 3 VP Fuels Race of Champions at Lucas Raceway Park in Indiana.
His steady performance along with his win on Sunday moved him to the top by two points, giving him the opportunity to respresent Coles County Dragway USA at the NHRA Race of Champions.
Harold Wright of Ashmore, in his 87 S-10, took his first win of the 2013 season in Pro, beating Kim Niemeyer of Humbolt in his 97 Mustang. Ron Veach from Charleston, in his 63 Nova Wagon, beat Tony Lyons of Ashkum in Sportsmen.
