---- — Cowden-Herrick played well throughout the Mulberry Grove tourney, but on Tuesday to open NTC conference play, Neoga saw them coming, limiting their top scorers and holding the Hornets to just 31 points, 67-31.

Neoga all-but knocked out the Hornets in the 1st with a 22-7 run. C-H couldn’t right the ship in the 2nd and fell behind by 25 at the break, 41-16. C-H was still under the Indians’ spell in the 3rd, getting blitzed 18-5.
