BC opens with win

Beecher City opened their season later than other teams, but it was worth the wait. BC beat Ramsey on Tuesday, 49-46.

Beecher City built a 9-point lead in the 1st half, 25-16. But, Ramsey started chipping away in the 3rd period. They cut to an 8-point lead, then out-scored BC 18-13 down the stretch. Ramsey cut to five, but BC held on for the win.

Brady Barnes led BC with a double-double, 21 points, 16 boards. Austin Rexroad was the BC arc angel, scoring 11 points with a trey hat trick.

Both teams went to the line quite a bit. BC’s foul shooting was the difference in the ball game. They were 20-of-27 (74%), Ramsey was 15-of-29 (52%), a 5-point advantage in a 3-point win.
