Shelby JV went to 2-0 to start the season with a blowout win over Windsor JV on Tuesday, 57-12.
A 14-6 run followed by a 14-0 run in the 1st half launched the Rams to a 22-point lead at the break, 28-6.
Devin Miner, who scored all 11 of his 13 points in the 1st half got the Rams going with a deuce sandwich with a creamy trey center. Bart Kennell, who had a game-high 16 points, got on the board with a two and 1-of-2 free throws. Tristan Wade and David Roedl added solo twos.
Windsor got single deuces from Nic Hutchinson, Boyer and Williams and trailed by eight after one.
In the 2nd, Kennell had a deuce and a trey and 1-of-4 free throws. Wade and Miner scored twice, each. Windsor was blanked.
Windsor scored again in the 3rd, but just a two from Williams and 1-of-2 free throws from Hutchinson. Meanwhile, Kennell scored three times himself, including a 3-point play. Miner and Brayton Wooters scored in the 11-3 run and the Rams led by 30, 39-9.
Shelby substituted liberally in the 4th, but still pulled away on a final 18-3 run. Roedel, Keaton Plummer, and Sebastian Smith, each, scored twice. Hunter Plummer hit a 3-pointer, Dalten Fox had a two, and Jackson Gambrill split a pair a the line.
Windsor got just three free throws down the stretch, two from Boyer and one from Hortenstine.
