Windsor Splits With Tri-County

Windsor 7th (4-1) and 8th (0-5) split again on Thursday. Windsor 7th defeated host Tri-County (Oakland), 37-21, while the Windsor 8th lost, 47-33.

Windsor 7th crept out to a 5-point lead in the 1st and a 7-point lead by the break, 16-9. They continued to extend their lead gradually in the 3rd and were up by 11 points heading into the 4th, 26-15.

In crunch time, Windsor was still on pace, increasing their lead to 16 points by the closing bell.

Windsor had two players, almost three, in double figures. Logan Greuel recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards. Jackson Miller led all scorers with 11 points. Beau Bennett followed with eight points. Ben Beck led the team with 11 rebounds.

Trojan 7th amassed 33 rebounds in the victory.

In the nightcap, once again, Windsor 8th was in it for awhile, but then faded.

The Trojans had their best scoring in the 1st and had an 11-10 lead. Tri-County asserted themselves in the 2nd and took over the lead with a 15-10 run.

Windsor was still in it to start the 2nd half, down by four, 25-21. But Tri-County screwed down the defense and held Windsor to three points in the 3rd.

Down by nine facing the final 6:00, 33-24, Windsor was unable to cut into the lead. Infact, Tri-County doubled them up with a final 14-7 run.

Despite the loss, Gavin Bennett led Windsor 8th with 13 points. Gage Sattler had six points and led the Trojans with seven rebounds.

Windsor 7th (4-1) and 8th (0-5) hosts Arthur on Tuesday.
