---- — Central A&M volleyball dug themselves out of a huge game 1 hole to beat Tuscola in 3 games on Tuesday, 12-25, 25-23, 25-21.
The Raiders were dead in the water as far as momentum in game 1, losing by more points than they scored, 25-12. But in game 2 they gutted out a 2-point win, 25-23. It came down to a decisive game 3, that A&M finally claimed.
It took a shake-up of things to get the win. Previously top setter Kayla Gibson led A&M at the net with 10 kills and a block, while dishing just four assists.
Libero Taylor Jordan has carried the defense lately, but Jordan (5 digs) was joined by five other defenders to get 21 team digs.
The only Raider to score an ace was Kaley Hennings, who also dished a team-high seven assists with 2 of 6 blocks.
A&M (7-7, 3-1 Okaw) hosts Tolono on Thursday.
