St. T bulldogs Rams

The Lady Rams were hoping to bounce back from a sub-par 7th place finish at the Pana/Shelby Invite on Saturday. The Rams did improve from the weekend, but weren’t strong enough against the St. Teresa, losing 16-25, 14-25.

Shelbyville varsity (16-11, 6-2 Okaw), JV (10-2, 7-1 Okaw) and fresh-soph (10-4, 5-2 Okaw) were to play at Maroa on Thursday.

The JV did to St. Teresa, what St. Teresa did to the ram varsity and fresh-soph, strike hard and get it over in a 2-game, too-quick blitz.

“We came out as a team tonight and played as a team the entire match,” said JV coach Jamie Watson. “We communicated with each other and didn’t give up on defense. This was a great win for us.”
