W/SS Shuts Out Dieterich, 13th Win

SHELBYVILLE, IL. —

Shrugging off any trace of triskaidekaphobia, Windsor/Stew-Stras baseball blew the doors off Dieterich for their 13th win of the season, 9-0.

Aaron White took his pitching record to 4-1m theowing a complete game. He shut out Dieterich, allowing just four hits over seven innings. He walked no one and struck out six.

W/SS' hits squad scored nine runs with only seven hits from just four batters. Gunner Theis led the attack, going 3-for-4 with seven, count them, seven RBIs. Theis hit a 2-run shot in the 3rd inning to put W/SS on the board and break a scoreless tie. Theis then blasted a grand slam in the 6th inning as the coup de gras.

Trey Leasher was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Alex Allen was 1-for-3 with a run scored. Justin Fulk was 1-for-3. Christian Vonderheide was 0-for-1 at the plate, but scored twice and drove in the other W/SS run. Likewise, Brandon Helmuth was 0-for-1, but scored twice. Christian Smith was 0-for-1, but scored a run.

The only Maroons to get hits were Bohnhoff and Traub. Both were 2-for-3.

Windsor/Stew-Stras was to play on Wednesday at Cumberland, before hosting Tri-County at Stew-Stras on Friday.
