The latest addition to the list of Central A&M High School alumni becoming Collegiate All-Americans is Genny Rose Stringer. Meanwhile, former IHSA Class A State Champion teammate Madison Renfro earned her second All-American honor.
Genny Rose Stringer (freshman) added five points to the UW-Whitewater total, pushed them up into 3rd place in the nation at the NCAA D-III National Track Championships, recently, and earned All-American honors for herself in the discus.
Stringer’s throw was a career best, 152 feet, 3 inches. Stringer won a state championship in the discus for Central A&M and also earned 3rd place at state in discus, while in high school.

Madison Renfro (sophomore) earned two points for North Central at the NCAA D-III National Track Championships, placing 7th in the 100 meter high hurdles and taking All-American honors, again. Renfro qualified 7th in the prelims with a personal best time of 14.19.

Her All-American honor was the second of this year. Renfro also earned All-American honors during the indoor track season. Renfro had a 5th-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles at the Division III Indoor Championships. Renfro has cut a full second off her personal best time from her freshman year. Renfro won an IHSA state track title and a 2nd place medal, both in the 100 meter high hurdles for Central A&M, while in high school.
Stringer and Renfro joined two other A&M alumni as All-Americans. Ben Stringer, Genny’s older brother was a 2-time All-American in track and field at UW-Whitewater. Ben Stringer placed 5th and 2nd in the discus at the NCAA Championships in 2009 and 2011, respectively. Stringer was also a conference champ in the javelin in 2011. Stringer earned a 4th place medal in the discus for Central A&M at state, while in high school.
