On Tuesday, Shelby 7th came within two points of a 2-game sweep, 25-17, 23-25. They missed that opportunity, but took it out on the 'Skins in game 3 with a brutal 25-8 thumping.

"We did well when we controlled the service line," said Ram 7th coach Brittany Pierce. "Overall, we had entirely too many unforced errors, both at the net and at the service line. We felkl apart in game 2 and completely lost confidence. In game 3, we rebounded well, due mainly to awesome service runs from Bailee Buckles and Kendyll Dunaway. Savannah Marty also did a great job all evening."

Shelbyville def. Sulllivan, 25-17, 23-25, 25-6

Ram stats: Kendyll Dunaway 14 points, 6 aces, 2 kills; Bailee Buckles 13 points, 5 aces, 6 assists; Savannah Marty 12 points, 3 aces, 7 assists, 5 kills; Jordan Bruder 2 points, 8 kills; Blair Rodman 11 points, 7 aces, 1 kill, 2 digs; Maggie Furr 9 points, 2 aces, 1 dig; Courtlan Stephens 7 points; Emma White 3 points, 1 kill; Emmalee Storm 1 dig; Mallorie Mason 1 point.

Shelby 8th didn't mess around. They almost doubled the Sullivan scoring, 25-8, 25-18.

"We didn't really have much game play in the 1st gaem after Maddie went back to the line," Coach Peifer said. "She did a great job and took over the game. The 2nd game, we played a different rotation and they all did a good job working out the kinks. I was really happy with how they tried to execute against Sullivan. It wasn't the best win, but it was a win."
