St. Anthony walked Hatfield rather than allow him to hit another summer grand slam. He still picked up an RBI. Baker grounded out and drove in another run, 16-4.
St. Anthony had a lead-off hit in the 4th, but a fielder’s choice and two fly outs stymied them. Shelby added insult to injury in the 5th, kicking St. Anthony with six runs, while they were down.
Miller singled, Moore was hit by a pitch and White reached on an error to load the bases. Yockey hit an RBI-single, 17-4. St A reliever Scott Rentfrow threw consecutive Ks. But, Hatfield and Baker both reached on errors. Helton and Miller came up again and got his 2nd hit of the inning, an RBI-double, 22-4.
St Anthony was on life-support, down 18 runs and needing nine repeal the 10-run loss after five innings. St. A got another lead-off single, but Helton rang up the next two batters. Hayden Cole threw out the next batter on a ground ball, 2nd to 1st, and called it a night.
