Silver Spurs To Hold Pleasure Show

Silver Spurs 4-H Club will hold their annual Pleasure Show on Saturday, June 15, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Shelby County 4-H Fairgrounds Horse Arena.

The show will feature halter events, as well as riding events, that are divided by age and style of riding.

Rain date for the Pleasure Show is Saturday, July 6.

The Silver Spurs Speed Show, featured timed events, like barrels and poles, is scheduled for June 29 at 2 p.m.

  • SOV Beats CAM at Home

    Sullivan-Okaw Valley track usually challenges Central A&M girls and boys, but on Tuesday they beat them in Sullivan. SOV boys won (100), Central A&M was 2nd (49) and Warrensburg 3rd (30). SOV girls won (73) and CAM was 2nd (62).

  • Shelby Sweeps Maroa Meet

    Shelbyville boys and girls swept the Tuesday triangular track meet at Maroa. Shelby boys scored 100 points and the girls 98 points, defeating Maroa and Meridian.

    Windsor track went to Arthur on Tuesday and state medalist Katie Hostetter led them. Windsor girls finished fourth with 32 points, while the boys finished 4th with six points.

    Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick softball notched their first win of the season burying Christ Our Rock on Tuesday, 14-4.

    Central A&M softball's Olivia Jordan allowed no earned runs over seven innings, while the Raider offense posted a 4-run rally in the 5th inning to pull away from Cerro Gordo on Tuesday, 8-2.
