Mens Softball Goes Wild

It was a wild week in Shelbyville Mens Softball at Forest Park. Naber Grain bounced back to get a sweep, Legends had to go into extra-innings to get a sweep, and B&R Marine out-scored Joe’s to get a split.

After getting swept last week by BAMF, Naber Grain bounced back with a sweep of DJs Landscaping on Wednesday, 15-13, 12-7.

In game 1, Naber jumped out to a 9-4 lead in the 1st. They were up 12-5, only to have DJs catch them in the 5th, 13-13. Naber scored two in the bottom of the 5th and held on for the win.

In game 2, Naber broke open a 1-1 ball game in the 3rd with a 6-run rally. Up 6-4 in the 5th, DJs scored seven before the game was over and would have tied Naber, but Naber posted a 4-run 5th to secure the win.

It was BAMF’s turn in the 6th and 7th. They got one run back in the 6th and a 3-run 7th tied the game at 7-7. Into the 8th, Legends scored a pair and BAMF could only get one.

Game 2 started, again, with Legends scoring a pair and BAMF answering with just one run. In the 4th and 5th, Legends again posted a back-to-back 3-run and a 4-run rally to go up by eight, 9-2. BAMF had to dig deep and didn’t. They got two runs back in the 6th, but couldn’t rally in the final inning, again.
