---- — It was a wild week in Shelbyville Mens Softball at Forest Park. Naber Grain bounced back to get a sweep, Legends had to go into extra-innings to get a sweep, and B&R Marine out-scored Joe’s to get a split.

After getting swept last week by BAMF, Naber Grain bounced back with a sweep of DJs Landscaping on Wednesday, 15-13, 12-7.

In game 1, Naber jumped out to a 9-4 lead in the 1st. They were up 12-5, only to have DJs catch them in the 5th, 13-13. Naber scored two in the bottom of the 5th and held on for the win.

In game 2, Naber broke open a 1-1 ball game in the 3rd with a 6-run rally. Up 6-4 in the 5th, DJs scored seven before the game was over and would have tied Naber, but Naber posted a 4-run 5th to secure the win.

Joe’s Pizza started undefeated last week. This week they were in a battle and had to settle for a split.

In game 1, B&R Marine scored multiple runs in each of the first five innings for a 9-run lead, 23-14. Joe’s shut them down in the 6th and 7th and posted consecutive 3-run rallies. That still left them 3-runs short to give B&R the upset, 23-20.

In game 2, B&R held a 6-3 lead after two innings. Joe’s made it a 1-run game in the 3rd, but B&R had a 3-run rally again in the 4th to lead 9-5. Joe’s was on the verge of being swept. They trailed 9-6 in the 7th, when they lit the fuse for a 6-run explosion, going from down three to up three. B&R had to respond quick and couldn’t, allowing Joe’s to salvage the split.
