SOV Beats CAM at Home

Sullivan-Okaw Valley track usually challenges Central A&M girls and boys, but on Tuesday they beat them in Sullivan. SOV boys won (100), Central A&M was 2nd (49) and Warrensburg 3rd (30). SOV girls won (73) and CAM was 2nd (62).

Central A&M won five events. Jason Pokalsey swept the sprints again for CAM. Trent Chepan won the shot put for A&M. Central A&M won the 4x1 relay.

Sullivan-Okaw Valley won nine of the events. Dalace Ray swept the hurdles. Brent Mauck won the 2-mile. Zane Uphoff won both the long jump and triple jump. Patrick Hogan won the pole vault and Trey Schlieker won the discus. SOV boys won three of the relays the 4x2, the 4x4 and the 4x8.

On the co-ed side, Sullivan won nine events and Central A&M won nine. The fuller SOV roster gave them more team points in the dual meet for the win.

SOV won the short sprints. Emily Neuhauser and Amanda McClain won the 100 and 200, respectively. Neuhauser was also 2nd to McClain in the 200. Mikaela Cole and Salena Sloan won the 400 and 800, respectively. Abbie Collins of A&M won the , but Rachel Stutzman of SOV won the 2-mile.

A&M swept the hurdles. Kaitlin Villanueva won the 100’s and Ryan Dooley the 300s A&M swept the weights. Mikah Maples took the shot put and Morgan Damery took the discus. Mikaela Cole won the pole vault.

SOV won three of the four relays. They won the 4x1, the 4x2 and the 4x4. A&M won the 4x8. SOV swept the jumps. Megan Dash won the high jump tying her season-best. McClain won the long jump and Mollie Bowman the triple jump.
