Shelbyville High School football players will be throwing their weights around on Saturday at the 2014 Shelbyville Football Lift-a-Thon.
The Lift-a-Thon is being held as a spring fundraiser to support Shelbyville High School Football. Proceeds from the Lift-a-Thon will help support summer camps for the team and purchase equipment for the program. The event is Saturday, May 3 at 5 p.m. in the Shelbyville High School Gymnasium.
Athletes will be tested at end of spring training cycle for maximum lifts on Bench and Squat. The public is invited to attend for free and encourage the athletes to set new personal records.
If anyone is interested in donating, they can pledge through any current football team member or donate at the event. We are also very fortunate to have four sponsors for the event: Fox and Austin Masonry and Concrete, Joe’s Pizza, Duckett Auto and Fox’s Redi-Mix.
There is no cost to attend the Lift-a-Thon. Any questions about the event can be directed to Bill Duckett (246-1682) or Mike Allen (521-8089).
