Eagles Notch First Win

SHELBYVILLE, IL. —

BCCH dropped their sixth straight game, losing to Teutopolis on Monday, 14-0. On Tuesday, they bounced back, crushing Christ Our Rock, 20-7.

After Kirby Herrmann and the Eagles blanked COR in the 1st, the Eagles put the ball in play and reaped the rewards with a 6-run rally. COR got one run back in the 2nd, but BCCH answered with a 7-run rally in the 2nd to go up 13-1. COR got just two of the runs back in the 3rd, but BCCH answered again with a 7-run eruption. Down 20-3, COR got a measure of respect with a 4-run rally, but they couldn't stop the early dismissal.

Amanda Pierce had the big hits for the Eagles, a triple, going 1-for-1 and scoring three runs. Kirby Herrmann and Heather Reed smacked doubles. Reed also drove in three runs. Alicia Adams went 2-for-2, being hit by pitch, scoring two and driving in two. Micah Jones drove in two runs, going 1-for-3. Autumn Riley and haven Lorton scored three times and drove in one run, each. Lorton was 1-for-2.
