Beecher City Bows In 3

SHELBYVILLE, IL. —

Beecher City(7-25) had some signature wins this season, some good battles and some outstandings matches where they set impressive season highs for their team and even the Shelby Area. However they bowed out in the 1st round of the Dieterich 1A Volleyball Regional. They didn't go easy, but they still went, losing to Dieterich in a 3-game set, 25-19, 14-25, 19-25.

BC drew first blood by taking game 1 and got their licks in before bidding adieu. Caitlin Sloan went down swinging, racking up 14 digs. Kacie Hilt, who set an area season-high 31 assists in a match, dished out 12 more assists before taking her bows.  

Kirby Herrmann swung for six kills and had a block for a team-high seven net points. Kirsten Buzzard had six kills. BC delivered nine aces in their final match, led by Buzzard with four aces. They fought hard on defense, recording 42 digs before cashing it in.

Dieterich (#4) advanced to play Stew-Stras (#1) on Tuesday in the regional semifinals.
