SS/W Beats Sacred Heart, Loses To Okaw

Stew-Stras Windsor cut out Sacred Heart on Tuesday, 15-0, but then were brought down to earth by Garrett Fritz and Okaw Valley on Thursday, 6-3.

Seven SS/W batters had multiple hits as they pounded out 16 hits towards a 15-run win in three innings. Trevor Quast threw a no-hit, shutout, allowing just three walks. Quast also led the hitters, going 3-for-3 with three runs, and five RBIs. Kessler went 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Kramer went 2-for-2 with three runs and three RBIs.

Okaw Valley got to SS/W on Thursday, pounding out 13 hits. They squandered some of those hits, but still doubled SS/W up, 6-3. One key was Garrett Fritz’s pitching. Fritz went the distance

    Shelbyville boys and girls swept the Tuesday triangular track meet at Maroa. Shelby boys scored 100 points and the girls 98 points, defeating Maroa and Meridian.
