Shelbyville Shoots Blanks At Clinton

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Shelbyville volleyball had won 5 straight matches before Tuesday night at Clinton. But, the Maroons snapped that streak so hard it came back and smacked down the Rams, 25-16, 25-8.

The Ram stats sheet was anomaly to the rest of the 9-9 season. Even in their losses, they had something to cheer about, some bright spot or player step up. Nobody stepped up in this too-quick, 2-game set.

Shelby had no double-digit performances. As a team they had just 10 kills in two games. They had just nine digs. They had just 9 assists. They reported no aces. They had just three blocks.

Sophomore Madison Boone was the net leader with just three kills and two blocks (5 net points). Maggie Bosgraaf was the stats leader with just six points and six assists.

Shelbyville (9-10, 3-3 OVC) hosts a red hot Meridian club (13-5), who just took a loss to St. T (14-1) on Thursday, beginning with the fresh-soph prelim at 5 p.m.
