Okaw Valley basketball romped over the visiting Martinsville Bluestreaks on Tuesday, 64-37.
Cody Corrington led the Timberwolf wilding out of the gate. He scored four times from the floor, including once from the arc. He also split a pair at the line for 10 of the T’Wolf 17 points in the 1st period and 10 of his game-high 25 points.
Martsinville got five points from their leader, Zach Mulkins, but fell back by seven heading into the 2nd, 17-10. The Streaks cut the lead to five at the break, 25-20. But in the 3rd period the Wolves went wilding again.
Corrington led a 23-9 run, scoring four more times from the floor and making 3-of-4 at the line for 11 more of his 25 points and half of the Okaw outburst in the period. Peyton Hagerman added the other Okaw trey in the game and Okaw was up by 19 heading down the stretch, 48-29. A final 16-8 run in the 4th turned the Bluestreaks black and blue. Corrington finished with two more scores in the final run.
