Ram 11U 3rd At Newton

Shelbyville 11 and under travel baseball team results from Newton Tourney on June 1-2, finished 2-1 for the tourney, and claimed 3rd place.

After dropping game 1 to Clay County, 7-1, the Rams fought back to claim 3rd by beating, Newton, 7-3, and Olney, 8-2.

The Rams were held to just five hits in the 1st game and took the loss. Colten Reed started and Kentrell Beck relieved with both giving up a total of 11 hits and seven runs. They only issued two walks and struck out five, but lack of runs support cost them.

Brayden Vice and Peyton Bryant had four of the five hits, with Vice smacking a double and Bryant driving in a run.

In game 2, the Rams had just four hits, but they drew seven walks which made up the difference. Vice allowed just three hits and two runs in four innings, striking out six. Trey Ruot allowed just two hits and one run in two innings, striking out two, giving the Ram pitchers 10 Ks.

Game 2: Won 7-3 over Newton (Jasper County)

In the 3rd place game, Shelby overwhelmed Olney.

Again the Rams had seven hits and they counted. Kentrell Beck got the big hit, a home run. Beck went 2-for-3, scored twice and drove in three to lead Shelby to the win. Grant Mose also went 2-for-3, driving in two runs.
