BAMF, Joe's Pizza Undefeated

(Continued)

In game 2, Joe's lit the fuse early. They scored seven runs in the 1st inning with a solo homer from Jim Herschberger. DJ's failed to score for the fifth of six innings on the night.

Joe's had a 5-run 2nd without a homer to go up 12-0. DJ's finally got on the board in the bottom of the 2nd, when Brock Boltz went yard with a 2-run shot. DJ's got the lead under 10, trailing 12-4.

Brandon Clark put Joe's up by 10 again in the 3rd with a 2-run home run. But DJ's would make a run.

Brent Weakly lit the lamp for 3 runs in the DJ 3rd to highlight a 7-run rally, trimming the Joe lead to 14-11.

The game was in the balance. Joe's went up 16-11 in the 4th on another long ball by Herschberger (2-run), but DJ's kept it close with a Wheeler solo homer in the bottom of the 4th, 16-12 Joe's.

Joe's Pizza then ginned up an EF-5 on the field spinning the revolving door at home plate 13 times. Kirby hit his third home run of the night, a 3-run blast.

Joe's was up prohibitively, 29-12, with DJ's needing a bunch to keep the game alive in the bottom of the 5th. They got just one run and had a long drive home.
