---- — After suffering through poor weather this spring, the Shelbyville Horseshoe Club is back in the act on Thursday nights.

On June 6, SHC’s turn out was a down payment on the crowd that will fill the courts as the summer rolls on. In a 6-pitcher field, Lloyd Ruff claimed 1st with an undefeated evening (5-0). Brandon lost just one close game to Ruff and claimed 2nd (4-1). Dorothy Hack was back from Florida bringing with her another sanctioned patch for 2013 from the Sunshine State. Hack placed 3rd, going 3-2 on the night.

Rich Galvin was 4th at 2-3, but had two very close games that went the other way against Ruff and Hack. Roy was 5th at 1-4 and charter member Pete Rankin rounded out the field.
