SHELBYVILLE, IL. —
Central A&M wasn't able to put Arthur away on Friday before God turned the lights out and left them tied, 9-9. Nevermind, on Saturday the Raiders punched LSA's lights out with a 9-5 victory.
Brock Ohl went 2-for-2 with a double for A&M, but it was Reece Ade that got the big hit, a home run. Mitchell went 2-for-4. Alex Snyder held Arthur scoreless for three innings. Then came the runs.
Arthur led 1-0 in the top of the 4th and A&M answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning. A&M then exploded for four runs in the 5th to go up 6-1. However, Arthur did them one better with a 5-spot in the top of the 6th, knotting the score at 6-6.
A&M went back up with a run in the bottom of the 6th, but Arthur answered with a 3-run rally in the top of the 7th to take the lead back, 9-7. The Raiders did not let that stand. They answered with two runs in the bottom of the 7th. But instead of going to extra innings, the game was called due to darkness.
