Okaw streaks past Martinsville

---- — Okaw Valley girls basketball got back in the win column on Thursday by leaving the Martinsville Streaks in the dust, 42-19.

Okaw Valley took care of business, limiting Martinsville. Offensively, they kept pushing out their lead. They led 8-2 after one and a 10-5 run in the 2nd gave them a double-digit lead at the break, 18-7.

In the 3rd, Okaw stretched their lead to 17 points doubling up the Racers on a 11-5 run, 29-12. Down the stretch, Okaw doubled them up again, 13-7 to cap the 23-point win.

Amanda McClain was the offensive star in the game, scoring eight times from the floor with 4-of-6 at the line for 20 points. No one else on either team scored in double figures. Paige Harlin had the lone Okaw triple.
