Windsor Knocks Off Neoga

---- — Windsor almost knocked off Arcola on Tuesday, losing 55-53. On Friday, they did knock off Neoga, 63-56.

Windsor out-toughed Neoga in the 1st for a 3-point lead. They dittoed in the 2nd and led by half a dozen at the break, 29-23. The Devils caught fire in the 3rd and exploded with an 18-3 run. Neoga was set back, down by 21, 47-26, but the game was not over.

Neoga came back with a flurry in the furious 4th. The 4th period saw 44 points scored in just 8:00. Neoga scored 28 and the Devils 16, enough to hang on to a 7-point margin at the closing bell.

Tristan Warner scored a game-high 27 points with two treys and an amazing 13-of-19 from the free throw line. Alex Allen followed with 12 points, 2-of-3 at the line, and Hayden with 10 points, including a trey and 3-of-5 at the stripe.

Neoga had three players in double figures, but no one to match Warner’s output. Baker had 15 with two treys, Kersey 13, and Krikie 12 with two treys.

Both teams sank five 3-pointers. Neoga out-scored Windsor from the floor, 47-43. But Windsor made 20-of-31 free throws, while Neoga only made 9-of-16. That left Windsor with the 7-point margin of victory.
