A&M Claims Regional Title

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Central A&M Middle School claimed another girls basketball regional championship on Thursday, winning their own A&M 7-2A title over Stew-Stras/Windsor, 26-13.

SS/W took an early lead, 5-4, but A&M  csme out strong in the 2nd period and had a 9-5 run to take a 3-point half-time lead, 13-10.

They continued to roll after the break with a 7-0 run. With a 10-point lead, A&M held Stew-Stras/Windsor down in the 4th and notched a 13-point win, raising the championship plaque.

The Raiders had three times as many field goals as SS/W and that tipped the scales in their favor.
