SHELBYVILLE, IL. —
Windsor volleyball, a 5-seed, put it all together for the NTC tournament last week and cashed it in for a 2nd place finish.
On Thursday, Windsor knocked off Altamont, 25-22, 25-22, and Beecher City, 25-10, 25-7, in pool play. On Friday, they continued on their roll with a come-from-behind, overtime, revenge win over Stew-Stras, 13-25, 25-19, 34-32.
In the gold flight of the championship round, Windsor kept the beat by scalding South Central, 25-14, 25-23. That put them in what would be the title match for the NTC Tourney against St. Anthony. St. Anthony was favored, but the Devils put it on St. Anthony in game 1, before losing in OT, 28-26. St. Anthony then won the title as expected, winning game 2, 25-18.
