A&M Nets Snare Hawks

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Central A&M upset rural rival Meridian on Thursday night. The Raiders invaded Macon Meridian and were aggressive right out of the gate, winning 25-10, 25-19.

The Raiders (2-3) notched just their second win of the season, but is within a game  of breaking even. Beating Meridian (3-3) was a step in the right direction.

Mikah Maples stepped upan led A&M at the net with match-high six kills and was key on mid-court defense with six digs.

Meanwhile, Kayla Gibson and Taylor Jordan recorded double-digit performances. Gibson dished 10 assists and Jordan had 10 digs.

Morgan Damery, Kaley Hennings and Kylie Burcham led the net defense with two blocks, each.
