Ram 8th In Title Game Tonight

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — The Shelbyville Moulton Ram 8th grade boys basketball team plays the championship game at the Nokomis 8th grade tournament against Nokomis at 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, November 8.

The Shelbyville Moulton Ram 8th grade boys basketball team followed up their win over Raymond on Tuesday night with a win on Thursday over Hillsboro, 43-29.

The Rams had more trouble with turnovers on Thursday and were down by two points at the half, 24-22. However, in the 2nd half, the Ram press paid dividends.

The Rams scored most of their points in the 2nd half off turnovers and out-scored Hillsboro, 21-5, for the 14-point win.

The Rams shot better than they did on Tuesday. Payton Howell scored 14 points, including a 3-pointer and 4-of-6 at the line.

Cade Watson scored 10 points and had a team-high seven boards. Turner Pullen just missed double figures with eight points.

Daythan Summers scored five points off the bench, also with a 3. The Rams got to the line and shot 14-of-26.

  • SOV Beats CAM at Home

    Sullivan-Okaw Valley track usually challenges Central A&M girls and boys, but on Tuesday they beat them in Sullivan. SOV boys won (100), Central A&M was 2nd (49) and Warrensburg 3rd (30). SOV girls won (73) and CAM was 2nd (62).
