Ram 7th Blows Up Bombers

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Shelbyville 7th basketball scored enough points in the 1st quarter to tie Argenta's total output. They went on to win by 23, 39-16.

Shelby's Malcolm Miller led a 16-4 run to open the game, scoring six time from the floor as he played the tip of the spear in the Ram press.Harrison Wooters and Emric Messado joined him with solo twos. AO managed just two buckets.

With their foot off the accelrator in the 2nd, Shelby had a mere 8-2 run. Miller had three baskets and Wooters one for an 18-point lead at the break, 24-6.

The third was a little more competitive as Shelby had just a 10-5 run. Miller had a deuce, then a pair of treys and Bryadon Vice scored. AO had a two and a three to trail by 23 heading into the 4th, down 34-11.

The anticlimactic 4th was a 5-5 tie.Tyler Wallis nailed a 3-pointer and Brett Kennell a two. AO had two buckets and 1-of-2 free throws.

Miller had a game-high 26 points, all in the first three periods, 18 in the 1st half.
