Moulton 8th Assaults Argenta

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Shelby 8th wasted no time annihilating Argenta on Monday, opening with a 21-0 run. They went on to win by 33 points, 42-9.

Despite the blowout, the Rams had balanced scoring and not one player in double figures. They shared their 42 points among nine scorers. Argenta had just three players score.

Payton Howell and Tylr Gottfriedt scored three times each in the 21-0 run. Turner Pullen scored twice from the floor and sank both his foul shots. That was 18 of the points. Cade Watson scored the other three on 1-of-2 free throws and a bucket.

The game was in the bag with three qurtera to play. In the 2nd, Shelby had a 5-2 run. Brett Spear and Daythan Summers had solo twos and Eli Houska made 1-of-2 foul shots. Shelby led by 24 points at the break, 26-2.

AO had one bucket and made 2-of-4 foul shots, but trailed by 34, 40-6. The Bombers' only consolation was they won the 4th, 3 to 2. Spears had the final Ram bucket.

Turner Pullen led all scorers with nine points, including 3-of-4 at the line. Howell and Gottfriedt followed with eight points, each, all field goals.
