Windsor/Stew-Stras dropped the first game of their new co-op season, but has since gone a 5-game winning streak. On Friday they beat St. Elmo 11-1 in 5 innings, then swept a doubleheader on Saturday over Dieterich, 4-0 and 7-3, to go to 6-1.
A combined 11 walks by the opposing starters on Friday led to the 10-run win, as W/SS was able to take advantage and St. Elmo couldn't. Although he walked six, Christian Vonderheide of Stew-Stras also KO'd nine batters, throwing a no-hitter over four innings. Connor Beasley only gave up one hit three innings and trailed just 2-1. Then the wheels came off.
Windsor/Stew-Stras scored four runs in the 4th and five in the 5th to spin the revolving door at home plate and notch the 10-run victory. Allex Allen got one of those three hits and scored twice. Justin Fulk got another one of those hits and drove in two runs. Hayden Cole got the third hit , scored once and rove in one.

On Saturday, Windsor/Stew-Stras broke open a scoreless tie in the 4th with a 2-run rally. Hurler Ben Helton kept Dieterich in check for six innings and, in the bottom of the 6th, Windsor/Stew-Stras added another 2-run boost. Dieterich couldn't mount a comeback and W/SS won their fourth in a row.
Alex Allen smacked two of the six W/SS hits, scored and rove in a run. Justin Fulk was 1-for-2 with a run and Hayden Cole was 1-for-3. Vonderheide was 1-for-2 and Devin Deremiah was 1-for-3 with an RBI. Ian Stremming was 0-for-3, but drove in a run. Helton got the win, throwing a 2-hit shutout, walking just three and striking out nine.

Windsor /Stew-Stras got the home sweep over Dieterich, coming back in game 2.
Dieterich got off to a 3-0 start in the 1st inning and Windsor could only get one run back in the bottom of the inning. But in the bottom of the 3rd, W/SS rallied for three runs of their own to wrest the lead away from the visitors, 4-3.
Aaron White held Dieterich scoreless after the 1st and W/SS added a couple more runs in the 4th to extend their lead to 6-3. W/SS added a run in the 6th and posted the 4-run win.
Christian Vonderheide led the W/SS hit squad, going for 2-for-2, with 2 RBIs and three runs scored. Alex Allen continued to hit safely, going 1-for-3 and scoring. Trey Leasher hit for 1-for-2, while Tristan Warner hit 1-for-1. Westjohn led Dieterich, going 2-for-4 and a run.
